Supreme Court strikes down Arizona law requiring proof of citizenship to vote
Mon Jun 17, 2013
The same SCOTUS who pushed "Citizen's United" which is more like Lobbyists United against the common citizen, when the price is right, and unleash an even bigger torrent of negative campaign ads with the sole intention of trying to brainwash people; has just determined that if illegals want to regis …
Senate votes to begin historic immigration reform debate
Tue Jun 11, 2013
bcwc, There's only one country to our north, and their citizens don't appear to be predispositioned to immigrate illegally. There are a number of countries to the south, whose citizens do. Maybe we should fix the problem where the problem exists, then we can work on the nonexistant problem you've …
Obama: 'Nobody is listening to your telephone calls'
Fri Jun 7, 2013
Just goes to show, that regardless of whether one votes for Democrat or Republican, it's the same old garbage over, and over. The man in the White House today, this party or that party isn't the most relevant matter.
NSA snooping has foiled multiple terror plots: Feinstein
Thu Jun 6, 2013
I'd so laugh, if following this story breaking, if some Verizon customers started putting images in their smart phones with the word's "Big Brother, investigate this", and a picture of themselves, umm, in their birthday suite for a discrete way of putting it.
Judge orders girl added to adult lung transplant list
Wed Jun 5, 2013
Not only is it troubling for a judge to place himself in a position of choosing who's life has more value, and deciding who can die in the place of another (what some might refer to as "playing God"); but there are distinct medical and physiological differences at play, that far from 'age discrimina …
First Thoughts: Warning signs for Obama
Wed Jun 5, 2013
The mess with the IRS scandal, I in part put on the heads of the US Supreme Court with their blasted "Citizen's United" decision, which is really more like "Lobbyists United", as the big bucks pouring in from these super pac's is anything BUT a union of "we the people" or the common citizen.
Woman at center of Petraeus scandal, Jill Kelley sues government over breach of privacy
Mon Jun 3, 2013
Ya know, on the whole "national security" angle wrt someone having an affair; among those who have had top level positions, I would certainly say commander and chief would fit the bill, would be former President's Bill Clinton and John F. Kennedy.
Taco Bell reacts quickly to employee's gross photo
Mon Jun 3, 2013
In reply to: Bill from Oregon #2.1 Ahem, both of these cases would be a violation of legal regulations in said matter, no doubt. And if the board of health was inspecting when this was going on, it might not have made it to the Internet, yes. But the federal regulators could get mighty …
New York Hilton, city's biggest hotel, quits room service
Mon Jun 3, 2013
In reply to: gday67 #1.2 I could just see it now. If the ambasador of Japan were visiting in NYC for whatever reason (UN business perhaps? Or some international conference?), and ended up staying here, and wanting a burger after business adjorned for the day, wanted a beverage and a bite …
No decision on release of US woman jailed in Mexico on drug allegations
Wed May 29, 2013
The chance was going to Mexico... I'm highly skeptical of the Mexican's claims of her having weed, especially when they simply continue to incarcerate her, but don't charge her. I smell corruption on the part of the Mexican officials, more then I smell a drug user here...
